IndianEasy home made chai latte recipe for cold and rainy evenings. Cover yourself up with a blanket and enjoy this fragrant warming drink full of aromatic spices.

Ingredients
- 4 bags of black tea (or freshly brewed strong black tea)
- 200 ml plant based milk
- 2 tsp Ceylon cinnamon
- 2 star anise
- 6 pods cardamon
- 4 cloves
- 2-4 ginger slices
- 1 tsp vanilla syrup
- 2 tsp maple syrup
Directions
- Make the chai concentrate. In a medium saucepan, combine all of the spices with water. Bring to a boil and boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat, cover, and set aside for 1 hour.
- Strain the spices out of the water before using. Use immediately or keep in a jar in a refrigerator.
- Transfer chai concentrate back into a pot. Bring to a near-boil.
- Meanwhile, prepare two mugs with two bags of black tea in each. You can also use strong freshly brewed black tea for this recipe.
- Pour the hot chai concentrate over the tea bags in each mug. Leave it for 5-6 minutes. Press excess water out of tea bags and remove them.
- In the meantime combine milk and syrups and warm it up in a pot. Use the milk frother to make the milk more creamy.
- Pour it in two mugs of tea and serve immediately. Serve topped with extra cinnamon and star anise.
