What Is Giant Cous cous?
The original name may be derived from the Arabic word Kaskasa, meaning "to pound small" or the Berber Seksu, meaning "well rolled", "well formed", or "rounded". Israeli couscous Giant Couscous, is similar to regular couscous in that it's a small, whole grain-like food made from semolina or wheat flour. Because of its size, Israeli couscous or known as Giant Couscous has a slightly chewy texture, similar to barley, and, because it's toasted, it has a slightly savory flavor.
