What Is Organic Millet Grain?
Similar to Quinoa and Buckwheat, Millet isn't actually a grain but rather a seed, being most accurately described as a Pseudo-Grain. This means Millet Grain, like Quinoa and Buckwheat, is not an allergen! Yay!
Less similarly this ancient grain was cultivated in East Asia as far back as 10,000 years ago! Surprisingly, cultivation of millet in prehistoric times was more prevalent than even rice, particularly in what is now China and the Korean peninsula. Despite the 5000 year difference in adapting this whole grain as a staple food, millet porridge is considered a traditional food in Russia as well as China to this day!

Instructions For Use:
To Cook: Bring 2 cups water to boil in a small pot. Add millet and salt. Return to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer, cover and cook until tender, 20 minutes. Drain off any remaining water.
Storage Instructions:
Store in a cool dry place, away from direct sunlight, heat and damp.
