Ingredients

120g whole wheat flour

80g all purpose flour

1 tbsp arrowroot (or corn starch)
- 100g white or brown sugar (powdered)

1 tsp baking soda
-
1 pinch of salt
- 250 ml of orange juice
- 2 tsp orange peel
- 3 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp ground ginger
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180ºc. Grease well the cake pan and dust it with flour. Optional: You can place thinly cut orange slices on the bottom of the cake pan.
- In a bowl, add all the dry ingredients and whisk until combined well. Add the wet ingredients to the bowl and mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter in the cake pan. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Check with the toothpick . If the toothpick comes out clean, the cake is ready.
- Cool for 30 minutes before serving and remove from the pan. Top with powdered sugar. Serving tip: Serve with cinnamon ice cream.
