Baking FAQs
What baking ingredients do I need to start?
Flour, a raising agent (baking powder or yeast), a sweetener, salt and a fat or oil will cover most everyday recipes.
What's the difference between baking powder and bicarbonate of soda?
Bicarbonate of soda needs an acid – like lemon juice or yoghurt – to activate. Baking powder already contains its own acid, so it works on its own.
Can I buy baking ingredients in bulk?
Yes – the whole range comes in bulk sizes at lower per-kilo prices, suited to regular home bakers and small bakery businesses alike.
