Kombucha is fermented tea: naturally fizzy, pleasantly tart, and – when it's made properly – alive. Much supermarket kombucha is pasteurised, which kills the cultures, and back-sweetened with syrups. Ours is raw and unpasteurised, with the live cultures, organic acids and enzymes intact.

Kombucha FAQs
What is kombucha? It's sweetened tea fermented with a culture (a SCOBY), which turns it into a lightly fizzy, tangy drink. The fermentation leaves it with live cultures and organic acids when it's raw and unpasteurised, like ours.
Does kombucha contain alcohol? Fermentation produces a tiny trace of alcohol, but it stays well within the limits for a soft drink, so it's sold as non-alcoholic. The product page will note anything specific.
Is it high in sugar? No. The fermentation consumes most of the sugar used to make it, so it's naturally low in sugar compared with regular soft drinks.
Does it need refrigerating? Raw, live kombucha is best kept chilled, which slows the fermentation and keeps the flavour and fizz steady. Check the bottle for storage details.
