Dried dates are naturally sweet, high in fibre and endlessly useful, but the right variety depends on the job. Use this quick guide to pick yours.
Which dates should I choose?
- Eating and stuffing: Organic Dried Medjoul Dates or Medjoul Dates – the largest, softest, most caramel-rich variety, supplied whole; choose the organic or the natural line.
- Everyday cooking and baking: Organic Deglet Nour Dates Pitted – firmer and less sweet than Medjool, they hold their shape when chopped and cooked, and come ready-pitted.
- Baking mixes: Dates Chopped – small pieces rolled in rice flour so they stay free-flowing through doughs and batters.
- Smoothies, energy balls and date paste: Dates Pitted Freeflow – stone-removed and loose-packed, ready for the blender.
All our dates contain no added sugar and suit vegan and vegetarian diets. Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and reseal after opening – an airtight container keeps larger packs soft for longer.

Dates FAQs
What's the difference between Medjool and Deglet Nour dates? Medjool dates are large, soft and caramel-rich, best for eating whole and stuffing. Deglet Nour are firmer and less sweet, so they hold their shape for chopping into bakes and cooking.
Do your dates have added sugar? No. All our dates are naturally sweet with no added sugar, and they suit vegan and vegetarian diets.
How do I make date paste? Soak pitted dates in warm water for 10–15 minutes, then blend to a smooth paste. It's a great natural sweetener for baking, energy balls and porridge.
How should I store dates? Keep them cool and dry out of direct sunlight, and reseal or use an airtight container so larger packs stay soft. They keep for months, and the fridge extends that further.
Do Club members pay less? Yes. WFE Club members get lower prices plus free delivery on mainland UK orders over £50. It's free to join. You can join the Club here.
